This piece was inspired by the transition from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac. The symbolism of the snake shedding its skin has always resonated with me as a reminder of growth, renewal and letting go of what no longer serves us.
As someone born in the Year of the Horse, this particular shift felt personal. It arrived at a time when I was thinking about change, new beginnings and the kind of person I want to become. Through this painting, I wanted to capture that sense of transformation and possibility.
While it reflects my own journey, I hope it also encourages others to embrace the changes in their lives, trust the process of growth and move confidently toward whatever comes next.
